Happy Seventeen Years to My Itchy Travel Feet! We're thrilled to be celebrating seventeen years of publishing articles and photographs for active boomer travelers on our award-winning online magazine, My Itchy Travel Feet. The journey has been a long one, but it's been an incredible ride. We started out as a personal blog, which is hard to believe now, given the scope and depth of content we've managed to curate over the years. We couldn't have made it without the support of our travel planner and photographer extraordinaire, Alan. Our magazine has evolved significantly since its humble beginnings, morphing into an online publication that features articles from a variety of boomer travel writers sharing their personal travel experiences. It's a bold move, but we've found that one person can't possibly travel everywhere that our readers want to go. In fact, we publish the weekly broadcast filled with travel ideas for the U.S. and international travel each Sunday, based on a monthly theme like our current topic for May: road trips! We also send out targeted newsletters for roadtrippers, national park travel, cruise, USA travel, and International travel editions coming soon. Our team includes a featured contributor, Debi Lander, to augment the rest of the staff: editor/writer (me) and photographer (Alan). As we look back on our seventeen years in operation, it's fascinating to see which destinations and travel experiences have been the most popular with our boomer readers. We've published an impressive 1,079 articles on travel throughout the world – double whoa! To date, many of these articles are still some of the most read content on our site. Of course, we're always updating older articles for current information and publishing new destination articles that I think you should know about. When you arrive at an article on My Itchy Travel Feet, I want you to find updated information that's correct, helpful for planning your next boomer adventure, and an entertaining read. To ensure this, I regularly monitor the most popular articles and make necessary corrections to resources. Take a look at our all-time favorite list – #1 Scenic drive in Monument Valley takes the top spot! Our readers really love this beautiful destination that borders Arizona and Utah, and I'm happy to share my advice for taking the scenic drive. We constantly update this article with the latest information, so you can plan your visit to this iconic American Southwest destination like a pro. Another popular article is #2 Luxury Travel Tips: How to Get the Most for Your Money. When it comes to luxurious travel experiences, you want to know how to make the most of your hard-earned dollars. We've got tips and strategies that will help you get the best value from your luxury travel bookings. And speaking of luxury travel, many of our boomer women readers ask me what to wear on a cruise. My article on Luxury Cruise Wear for Women shares my expertise on learning your style, looking great without overloading your luggage. For those who prefer more off-the-beaten-path adventures, we recommend #4 North Rim Grand Canyon National Park: The Ultimate Guide. A trip to the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, with the Colorado River carving out a 277-mile path through layer upon layer of geology over millions of years. Alan and I prefer visiting the North Rim for a less crowded, more peaceful experience. We've also had a blast sharing our weekend getaway tips on Amelia Island (#5 Weekend on Amelia Island). This beautiful Florida destination is perfect for those seeking an active, relaxing break with plenty to see and do. And while we can't reveal all of our secrets just yet, we'll be posting an exciting new article soon about Debi Lander's visit to Capri, Italy. As we celebrate seventeen years in operation, we're excited to announce what's next for My Itchy Travel Feet. We have some fantastic travel articles lined up for you, including tips on visiting remote Centennial Valley in Montana and exploring Oregon's Seal Rock State Park. Stay tuned for more domestic and international travel content, as well as the latest travel planning tools to help you plan your next adventure. These include our favorite travel resources – we use Kayak to compare prices on flights, Booking.com for booking accommodations with a focus on usability upgrades, TripAdvisor for research, and Viator for booking tours. We're proud to offer high-quality content to our readers at no cost, thanks to the affiliate arrangement that helps us cover expenses such as site design and paid guest writers. We can't thank you enough for being part of this journey over the years. Here's to many more exciting adventures ahead!
